I’ve climbed Cadair Idris many times in all weathers and seasons and from different directions. This time on the way back down the light was lovely down in Birdrock valley as it shifted, spotlighting different bits of the landscape. The painting used a collage of different papers to create texture and depth to the painting. The thicker canvas and papers are at the front and the japanese tissues are used for the distant hills. Oil pastels and sprayed paint are used to pick out textures.
